In an effort to keep plex dvr from erasing shows that I had in my library before I recorded new episodes, I made a separate library called “Recorded TV.” One of the shows I record is Nova, but I have a couple of episodes in my other curated library as well.
I cannot for the life of me get the plex ios app or roku app to play episodes out of the Recorded TV library. I pick an episode it recorded, it starts playing the earliest aired episode in the main TV library. Has anyone else seen this?
It basically seems Plex DVR does not know how to deal with shows that were in its library before being set up.
I have a similar situation and did not see other threads that apply. I’m not sure if commenting here or creating a new thread is best
I have two libraries: Recorded TV and TV Shows. (I have a separate app that converts the recorded TV show and moves to the TV Shows folder essentially moving the episode from one library to another.) The issue is the viewing of the shows in the libraries prior to the conversion/moving of files.
Problems are as follows:
- My “Recorded TV” library is only viewable by ‘Episodes’ and the ‘TV Shows’ format is empty
- After selecting the episode from Recorded TV, I am directed to the TV Shows library after selecting either the Season or Show Title from the breadcrumbs.
- My “TV Shows” library shows the unwatched episode from another library, but when selecting that show/season, the episode is empty.
It seems the libraries are being crossed since they are both representative of TV Shows. Attached some screenshots of the issues.
