Samsung app reporting media server offline or unreachable

Server Version#: 1.7.5.4035
Player Version#: 5.37.1

Hi,

Samsung QN90A - Plex app reporting “media server offline or unreachable” yet i see tcp packets and logs from the device in Plex Logs

have enabled “insecure connections always” on both device and sever and have local network configured in “allowed without auth” without change,

the Plex server logs show the following when connection retry attempted from tv app

DEBUG - Request: [192.168.0.213:53530 (Allowed Network)] GET /identity (8 live) GZIP Signed-in
DEBUG - Completed: [192.168.0.213:53530] 200 GET /identity (8 live) GZIP 0ms 471 bytes (pipelined: 1)

from research of other forums, do i need to have remote access enabled to allow TV to communicate to the media server?

any help would be appreciated

Our records show, that you have/had two servers.

Server 1 is named DESKTOP-16T**** and hasn’t been seen for almost one year
Server 2 is named NUC8i**** and was deleted!

So I suggest you reclaim it

Hi,

thankyou so much for your reply, i have reclaimed and reset the app on samsung tv, from logs i can see auth tokens have been resynced/downloaded and certainly can see tv app is authenticating now, however the media server is showing still as unavailable…

a connection retry log is showing the following, with the focus on “Platform ‘Tizen’ not matched by plugin platform requirements”

thoughts?

DEBUG - Auth: We found auth token (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), enabling token-based authentication.
DEBUG - Auth: authenticated user 1 as clayton151
DEBUG - Auth: Came in with a super-token, authorization succeeded.

On your TV, please enable logging

Then reproduce, and after that, please upload a complete zip of PMS logs

plexmedialogs.tar.gz (2.5 MB)

thanks for your reply … please find attached compressed tarball of Logs directory

Wow…Just noticed now, and sorry for that…
