Samsung cuts off video streaming from a Windows Plex server

Greetings, since a few weeks ago my experience with Plex has gotten much worse. The videos are continuously choppy and I have to lower the streaming quality and even then there are cuts.
The videos are on a pc with a Plex server (Version 1.32.4.7195) on Windows 10. From there they are streamed via wifi to a Samsung tv (AU8000) which has the Plex app for Samsung (Client version 5.62.0. Platform version 6). I use a TP-Link wifi amplifier.
This problem does not happen with YouTube or Netflix, so it is a Plex specific problem. I set the default settings from the Samsung App but it didn’t work.
