Samsung Plex App HDR issue

Hi,

I have issues with the Samsung Plex APP.
It does play everything fine, except HDR files, where it says ‘not enough CPU for conversion’
My tv is a Samsung Q67, and the Plex server is running on a WD Mycloud HDD.
I believe the options for both the specific file and the general settings are set to “direct play/stream”, so I don’t understand why it wants to convert the HDR files.
The TV is plugged on the network via RJ45, if that changes anything.

Edit : the same files play ok on my Windows 10 PC through the plex App

Thanks for the help

Quite likely that you’re trying to play some audio or subtitles that the Samsung platform can’t support at this time. Can you provide the Media XML for the file, please?

Hi, thanks for your fast response.

What troubles me is that, I think, barring the HDR part, the file are almost the same.
Here are 2 diff XMLs.

HDR_file.txt (15.1 KB)
non_HDR_file.txt (8.1 KB)

Thanks

Cheers! I think I have an idea, but could you replicate the issue, and then send the Server Logs, please?

Hi,

Here are the Server Logs.
Not sure what you need, so here’s the whole Zip I got from the web app
Plex Media Server Logs_2022-09-28_17-38-45.zip (510.6 KB)

Thanks again;

Unfortunately, the server log files do not contain enough information, as debug level logging has been disabled.

Please re-enable debug logging in Settings → Server_Name → General.
Do not enable verbose logging.

Then restart Plex Media, re-create the problem, pull a new set of log files, and post to the thread.

Hi,

This should do it,

Thanks

Bump,
anything more you guys can do for me ?
If not, I’ll just get rid of any HDR stuff and consider the Samsung APP cannot play those :frowning:

I didn’t have a look at them over the weekend, sorry (it was my Friday when you shared them), but I’ll take a look in the next day or so

Aight no worries, sorry for pushing you guys
Thanks for the help

Bump ? :frowning:
