I am running into issues where previously, known-working TV shows and movies are starting to lock up. If I am quick enough, right as the media starts to jam up with the swirling icon in the middle of the stream (as if it is buffering) I can jump forward one pace ahead and sometimes it will clear itself. If it will not clear itself, or I am not quick enough, it will kick me back to the last visited plex library I was in, will not load the assets in the library, then will require a hard restart of the TV to get back to working order. I turned off both direct stream and direct play, which helped remedy the initial onset of repeated issues, but it not a complete end-all be-all. Does anyone have any suggestions?
***Forgot to include the error message the Plex is now throwing at me whenever new or previously working content goes awry, which is “Multimedia file format not supported.” Of the three most recent files that locked up, they were .MKV (TV shows), and an .MP4 (movie). One of the two shows that locked up on me were previously working without failure, as way the movie.
