Samsung Tizen transcoding?

I have kill stream enabled for my server via Tautulli if video decision = transcode so I have users set there plex clients to maximum under remote.

One of my friends streams on a Samsung tv via Tizen, even though he is setting to maximum remote play with direct play enabled his streams are still being killed due to transcoding.

Here is the log;

I don’t have any limitations set apart from 2 remote streams.

If Audio is DTS, and Sammy is 2018+, then Sammy doesn’t support it sadly

I’m not sure I understand, normally with devices like iPads, Apple TV etc. The audio or container etc with still transcode, it’s just the video being transcoded that causes the stream to be stopped by the killstream. As long as the video is direct stream and not being encoded it’s usually fine.

I don’t understand what is causing the video to be transcoded on the Samsung.

Did the Video have a DTS track as the only one?

This looks pretty suspect:

Video bit rate is higher than some predefined limit.

It has two, one is french ac3 the other is dts yes.

Where would the limit be as I have none set on the server, unless it is a client limitation I’m not sure what that is.

Right, it’s either on the server or on the client. Would need a screen shot of Samsung’s network/video settings screen I guess to confirm.

Any ideas what setting could limit the playback, earlier when it was transcoding I asked my friend to check the settings and they sen the following;
