Video freezes, audio continues when transcoding audio and direct playing video

I had the same issue. I just changed the setting in the Samsung app so it wouldn’t Direct Stream. There seems to be a problem re marrying the video to the transcoded audio. Just uncheck the box and you don’t need to think about it again.

@jeffddntdt Thanks for the workaround! Would still like to see this issue fixed. It’s nice to be able to take advantage of direct play.

I always try and get my media so it will direct play but many Samsungs will not play DTS. So it has to be transcoded or streamed. It is a bummer the direct stream doesn’t work properly, but the workaround handles it just fine.

But I still am converting my media to 265 with ac3 audio.

I too am experiencing a lot of freezing with my playback that is completely eliminated by forcing transcoding. But on top of that, I’ve lost the ability to change the quality settings in the tizen Plex app. I’m not sure what’s going on with this horrible updates, but I’d really like to see this issue addressed sooner than later as it’s been an issue for a bit now.
