Samsung Tizen TV app blank/broken video preview thumbnails

So, probably reviving and old tread but something I’ve never had working over past 2 years and looking at old forum threads not as much as acknowledgment from Plex team.

All my remote devices and web clients display video preview thumbnails correctly however on Samsung TV Tizen app, they just appear as 3 blank squares almost as if broken picture links, with one in center being bigger and 2 on sides smaller.

I’d be happy to get an option to disable feature altogether but ideally this could be fixed.

I’m happy to provide any logs or troubleshooting to aid with this.

Yup, I’m seeing this, too. It affects newly generated previews as well as years old ones (I first encountered it while watching old stuff and thought something might’ve changed over time).

I can only speak from running Plex on a Synology NAS. Maybe it doesn’t happen on, say, a server running off a desktop. I’ve only got the one NU8000 TV, too, so I don’t know if it varies between TV models.

Can replicate behavior on windows as user, as service and as unraid docker, all platforms produce the same results on the client.

Any progress on this issue? I noticed elsewhere a statement that this is a Samsung issue. Is this correct? I also saw a message that a Hub Reset clears the issue. Is this a valid claim?

Still nothing afaik, uno preview doesn’t resolve issue either. for now I’ve opted to not generate any thumbnails at all which looks like it just disables them altogether in tv client, so looks like they are being generated but tv client just fails to pull/read them.

again if any plex staff wants to look further into it, I’m more than willing to provide assistance
