Samsung TV - It won't play files

Hello to everybody.
I have been using the plex application on my NAS for a long time. However, for the last 2 months, I have not been able to play any movies on my Samsung TV. Plex works, I can move through the libraries, but as soon as I play a movie, it starts loading and says “the media file format is not supported”.
Everything is OK on the other devices, my TV is QE55Q7FAM. the SW version is the latest, i.e. 1310.1.
I’ve tried searching the internet for a solution but to no avail.
Can someone give me some advice?
Somehow I don’t want to put up with the idea that Samsung just ticked it off :frowning:

Sounds like your server is disallowing transcoding. Most TV’s are pretty lousy at playing files directly unless you use 264 only, so it has to transcode the video.

Go into your server settings, and make sure to UNCHECK this box if it is checked:
