Samsung tv playback error

Server Version#: 1.20.4.3517
Client Version#: 5.3.1
Hello recently i keep getting Playback error that say “xx@gmail.com asked to stop your playback from this server: To play 4k content, please set your video quality setting for remote/internet streaming to maximum/orignial”
First i tried to set remote quality to original but it still throw me that error
Then i try to watch it in 1080p and it still throw me that error
i bought the server from whatbox

It should be set to original, but multiple things can happen here, like:

  • Player used doesn’t support Direct Play of the media, and then request a transcode
    • (Search the PMS logs for the word MDE)
  • Req. Bandwith is not meet, on both sides
    • On the media in the web-client, select Get Info/View XML and look at the tag named requiredBandwidths

i checked in PMS logs and it says media must be transcoded in order to use the hls protocol so maybe thats the issue

Maybe…

Hard to tell with only a snip from the logs

if u can take a look at my logs that will be great

Please switch off verbose logging, reproduce and then re-upload the logs

here, i hope its correct this time

Please try first without a subtitle, and also upload the XML for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001)

358.rar (12.0 KB)
without subtitle i can do direct stream now

See: Any way to stop PLEX converting the video with SRT subs enabled?

You selected a pure srt file, so my guess is your player doesn’t support the Audio?
English (DTS-HD MA 7.1)

See: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/dolby-atmos-compatibility/td-p/1232868

im using UA43TU8500 and i read on review that it support dolby atmos

Could be wrong here, but not what I see

Ref: 43" Crystal UHD 4K TU8500 | Samsung NZ

AFAIK, no TV from Samsung supports paid Dolby License after 2018+ models :frowning:
