I have been hosting plex on my computer and connecting my TV locally. Its been working great for months, but as of about a week ago its like the app slowed significantly.
for example:
- browsing through a show, the UI will freeze for a few seconds while the pictures of each episode show up.
- on the home screen 4-5 tiles will not populate some times. if i leave and go back in the problem is fixed.
- struggling to play some content, most things seem to be playing just fine but i have noticed a good percentage of items just result in the spinning progress circle to no end.
What i have tried:
- I have a remote user who is not reporting any of the same issues
- I tried running plex from an old Kodi instance I had and it seems to be working just fine.
- I tried creating a new account, no change to performance.
- I performed a factory reset of my TV and it made no difference
- Browsing and watching from the computer is perfect.
Any ideas on where i should look next?
