I have 2 Samsung TVs, a 2020 model (standard LED) and a 2022 ‘The Frame’ TV. I recently installed the 2022 TV, and was going to use Plex for Live TV as there is no antenna in that room. When I try to watch any LIVE TV channel from my HDHomeRun Quadro via PLEX, I just get a blank screen. If I press the ‘up’ key on my TV remote, the navigation bar still shows, but the counter is frozen at whatever time the TV show was at when I tried to start it. It stays like this until I back out of it. I then went to my older 2020 Samsung TV to test, and it now does the same thing. (It used to work fine)
Both TVs can play content from my other libraries, as well as already recorded TV shows from LIVE TV. Live TV from Plex (online streaming) also works fine. I have tried both Direct Play/Direct Stream off and on, both giving black screens.
Live TV works perfectly fine from the web console, and from the NVIDIA SHIELDs in the house, it’s only the Samsung TVs that cannot play it.
The TVs are in the same network/vlan as the server and the server logs seem to indicate the TV is playing (as there is transcoding activity when that is on, and also it says ‘TV changed to playing’ somewhere too.
I have tried deleting cache and data, which didn’t work.
