Save ID3 Tags into Flac Files

Hello,
now I’m new in using Plex. I have installed it on a Debian machine without problems and add a selection of my FLAC music to this server. I have ripped the CD with EAC.

When I change something in Plex, this changes are not saved in the ID3 tags in the FLAC files. SO I can select a better cover, but it is not saved into the folder of the CD with the name Folder.jpg and it is not saved into the ID3 tag.

How can I save the changes into the ID3 tag of the FLAC files?
How can I save the new cover into the CD folder with the name Folder.jpg?

You cannot. At least not from within Plex.
Plex has a policy to never touch your media files (unless you enable the “Delete” feature).

Get to know a tool like mp3tag which makes mass tagging easy.

OK; a other tools can used, but here is all information available. I set the most ID3 tags during the ripping with EAC. Only with the cover pictures exists many problems. Some database not working correct or have not the correct image. And only for this using of more tools, is not so good.

Exists no plugin to save the selected album cover?

Unfortunately not.

My personal recommendation: if you are after really high-quality, and high-resolution cover art, fetch it yourself and place it as cover.jpg into the album folder.

MusicBrainz Picard is a great tagger.

Agree. Musicbrainz Picard is the way to go with plex music. Plex uses its tags in matching which is also very useful if your embedding tags.
