I have 10 users i invited to share my library. It says I need a plex pass to add more users is that right? I had 11 thinking if i deleted one i cold add again, it says not. I’ve seen 15 users thrown around and 100 users. Could someone clarify i’m confused why i can’t invite anyone anymore?
I think there’s a limit on HOME users… you can invite up to 100 users via the “Share Libraries” function without Plex Pass I believe. But those users will not have the benefit of not paying for the mobile app, they will all have to pay the $5 activation fee for the mobile app on each platform they intend to use it on (Currently iOS and Android Mobile), and they will not have access to LiveTV and DVR functions. They will have all other access rights beyond that.
Can you share the specific message – maybe a screenshot?

Up to 15 members can be in a Plex Home. For Plex Pass users that includes a combination of both Managed Users as well as regular Plex Accounts that are invited.
Beyond that… as per JasonNalley’s statement… you can have up to a total of 100 users with whom you can regularly share media (not being part of your home). These 100 users consist of both home users (see above… 15 max) and friends (filling up the rest)
thank you, i’ll just do share libraries then- but i even had to pay for the mobile app on ios and android and i am running the free server software
If you had a plex pass, you would not have to pay for the Plex App, without a plex pass you do have to pay the one time Activation. personally, I paid for it before i became a plex pass user.
i would but then it broadcasts my email and the 10 others not that i don’t trust plex users but i have enough spam… message says " adding other users to home requires plex pass learn more with link" i assure you there are only 10 users, i don’t get the email invite.
I don’t think you want those people, or yourself, in a Home.
I shared with Friends for YEARS without Plex Pass.
We had to buy our own apps - as it should be.
Now, they’re all free apart from the mobile ones. $5. One Time.

forgive me but it does not say anything about how many users can act as clients. As I stated i have 10 users in a home that i am running plex server. To add anymore it says i need plex pass- is that true?
No.
You can only have 10 Users in a Plex Home.
You can have 100 ‘Friends’.
What’s really strange is - you can’t have a Plex Home without a Plex Pass. Once we figure that one out - you can still have 100 Friends without a Plex Pass.
maybe i added them the wrong way- i just want family and friends to be able to share my library. I manage the server- are the 100 friends able to connect, they can buy their own apps, I guess I don’t know the difference between 10 users in a plex home, or 10-100 users as “friends” Would i have to delete re-add them as users? Sorry for the confusion.
