Scan found channels do not have a Guide Channel to associate it to

I am only using 1 HRDVR When I scan for channels it associated the right channel in the guide channel. All except 1 channel in my area. It’s a more recent channel in my area (in the last year). When I scanned for new channels, it showed up under device channels, but did not have a channel associated for it in the guide channel. I really want to record shows on this channel, but it will not show up without the abiltiy to add it to the guide channel list.

It could be that the guide data we get doesn’t yet have that channel. Once it’s added, you should be able to map it correctly.

I’m also facing that kind of issue. I’m living in France close to Switzerland border I have nearly 50 channels available but only 30 activated due to this data guide which is missing informations (strange thing is that it’s missing some France channels also)

3 questions :

  • Is there any way to activate all channels even if there no date from guide ?
  • Is there any way to get data guide from 2 countries ? That would be a great improvement as many europeen countries are sharing border and channels.
  • Is there any way to customize epg files ?

@tortonmaitre At the moment, there isn’t a way to get data from two countries, nor customise the EPG files. If you can find and XMLTV guide that covers what you want, then that could be a way to do it. :smile:

When you setup your DVR you specify that you have an external XMLTV file.

Thanks a lot !!! I have completely missed it… I will have a try if it is better than the Plex proposed guide… too many channels missing epg for me

Hello,

I’ve missed that option as well.

I’ve used an XML found on internet, I have now the possibility to use and
record all available channels.

But there’s something wrong with series.
All series are no more detected as series so recurring recording is no more
available…

Do you have any idea how to solve it ?
