Just wondering if there is a way to report channel’s that are missing from Plex’s guide data?
Currently when i but my postal code into plex and the guide data appears for Local Antenna (OTA), or whatever it’s called for antenna… there are quite a few channels missing out of the lineup.
Because of this I’m using zap2xml to get my guide data from zap2it as a workaround, but this has some other issues which i’ve noted here Having issues with Grid view layout
Anyway, in the past when there has been channels missing from the Zap2it lineup, i’ve been able to right to them to have them added to the lineup. Just wondering if there is a way to report this for those available in plex? I realize that they probably get their guide data for somewhere else, so i’m not sure if it’s possible to fix this other than to simply try a bunch of other postal code until i find one that hopefully has the other missing channels.
me also, I’m getting about 50 channels (20 of them are HD) on my TV through Antenna, but on Plex I only get 10 channels TOTAL when I enter my postal code. I’m not sure who came up with this type of configuration but it’s causing so serious hicups.
Yeah I know what you mean. That’s why i’m choosing to use zap2xml for the moment, since i can get all of the guide data and properly map it to the correct channel. The only issue currently is that it isn’t correctly showing the channel number on the left side in the grid layout view…but i find this is a small inconvenience in comparison to have incorrect guide data.
Also with zap2xml you also have the ability to pull guide data from multiple guides on zap2it and combine them into one, which is really usefull.
Hopefully the plex team can get this sorted out shortly
Similar issue. Only 10/15 channels in my guide so I can’t view or DVR any programs on these channels. Did anyone have any luck trying other nearby Postal Codes? Look’s like I have to delete and recreate my DVR to try…
In my case deleting and re-creating my DVR using a zip code just across the border in the US worked, where my own Postal Code (Vancouver, Canada Area) did not.
I was having a similar problem getting all the channels in my area to show. Instead of using my zip code, I put in the zip code for the Downtown area nearest me and it all started showing properly.
