One of my libraries contains 30k videos and 600k *.ts files which are ignored by “.plexignore”. Recently, I needed to move the library to a new drive, so I followed the guide (https://support.plex.tv/articles/201154537-move-media-content-to-a-new-location/) to leave the old copy intact and add the new drive location and let it scan.
Well it’s over two weeks later and it’s still going. The “Plex Media Server.log” just keeps spitting out “…[Scanners.bundle] Removing file due to plexignore rule…” the entire time. Briefly, I did not have the .plexignore on the new copy, but stopped the scan, fixed it, and restarted. (Is this the issue?)
I know it’s a lot of files, but scans have never taken anything near this long.
