Hi. Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, but idk where to go.
I recently ran my server on a Windows desktop, had no problem. I just switched to a Linux, and I have set everything up exactly the same as on my windows arrangement, same external hard drives, nothing different. But when I perform the scans on my library, only 2 of the shows pop up. Idk what is going on, the files play fine in other programs. Any help with that would be huge, thanks!
Basically same rules as with Windows. Plus file permissions… does the plex functional user on your Linux have read access to your media?
Just not to rule out the basics… can you confirm the proper folders are added to the libraries, media properly organized and named (according to the official schema)?
Yes, so the stuff is all set, and my friend and I spent a couple hours getting it to read them yesterday (granting permission through the terminal and such, very work.), and it’s showing two shows, and all the movies and music fine, but the other 4.7tb just won’t show. It’s truly bizarre.
Update: I tried adding another, separate hard drive and moving files there. They scanned in fine there. Realized all the functional files are on one drive, non functional on other. Thank you! I wouldn’t have thought of checking that basic thing if you hadn’t mentioned going over the obvious, thank you so much!
