Just an interesting one I ran across today. I was adding a new album to my music collection and the permissions got set to 700 (rwx------) at the directory level of the new album. Obviously, Plex was unable to traverse down into this directory. The interesting thing is that the library scan started the throbber on the web interface and the scan never seemed to end. I waited 15 mins. I was able to select cancel scan and it was slow to respond. After a little investigation, I noticed the permissions issue and corrected. Selected scan library and all went normal. Just wanted to share this with everyone as it was annoying as all get out.
