Scanned Library Videos doesn't tally

Hi all, I am new to Plex and lack the knowledge and know-how. I recently installed and add the Plex Media Server on my Windows OS and added my Libraries of videos. Only to find that some of my video series didn’t completely added. I have at least 3 series that only contain 1 video but in the folder it has more than 1. I’ve tried to delete the media library to re-add, it didn’t work.

And since that I am new to this community, I am unsure what keyword I should be searching on for my issue.

Nice, it was really the naming convention that caused the issue.

I am looking at the .plexignore command/content. But where do I add it?

My personal opinion: stay away from .plexignore.
It makes scans slow and you will be much happier with a thoroughly cleaned up media folder hierarchy.
Keep in mind that you can include local extras and bonus content in your Plex library, if named correctly. So there is no need to hide it.
Remove all content you don’t want to appear in Plex and put them into separate folders which are not scanned by Plex.

But renaming 100+ files is timing consuming. But what I don’t understand is, why can some of the files with the same naming convention works?

Take a look at Filebot

Filebot looks pretty good. But it still have to run individual file accordingly. I can look into that. Thanks

It takes whole folders as input and can treat all files for a tv show at once. (including external subtitle files)
