PLEX “live tv and dvr” first stopped recording, and then would not tune channels. Checked antenna and cable and confirmed strong signal at both ends using meter. Replaced Hauppauge WinTV-Dual HD USB tuner with same, set up “new device” in PLEX, scanned channels and got 58 (19 primary + subs) working with strong signal. Couple of days later, started losing ability to tune and received error: “could not tune …” Tried to re-scan channels but it won’t activate this process. All of these channels are working fine on my WinTV player.
PLEASE HELP!!!

There’s another thread with people troubleshooting on this topic - hopefully enough of us have reported it for Plex team to treat it as a defect/bug.
Good news: Able to watch channels and record today on win10 player
Bad news: stations will still not play on server - not error message, just continuous “circle of death”
RE, the “good news”
Because NO “Plex employee” responded, I do not know if this was a Plex “fix” or the fact that I also re-scanned both WinTV and Next PVR. Shortly thereafter, I was able to tune, watch and record all stations on windows player. As mentioned above, this did not work for the online server.
A plea to Plex administrators: I read the entire long set of posts on the other thread on this same topic and was amazed to see so little intervention by Plex staff. This is, after all, a paid service. It should not be the case that I receive better service from the free apps/programs I use. I say this both on behalf of others who have not yet resolved this issue AND on my own behalf, because I am not confident that it won’t happen again.
Thank you for your consideration.
Server log attached.
