For several years, this error has been the bane of my existence, and to exacerbate the issue, Plex dedicated an entire segment in the Plex Celebration on how effortless it is to utilize as a live TV DVR. I have attempted numerous remedies, including port forwarding and disabling the update service, yet I remain unable to tune into my HDHomeRun via Plex. All other applications, such as Windows Media Player, VLC, and the HDHomeRun software, function seamlessly. The problem lies solely with Plex. Has anyone discovered a viable solution to this issue?
Same problem. Last week Plex worked fine with live tv. Yesterday, I get the could not tune channel message for any channel I try. I had a problem with HD Home Run app displaying live tv too, but I fixed that with a simple rescan. I tried the same in Plex, also deleting and reinstalling the DVR, no success although the scan seems to complete successfully. Would love to know what the answer is to fix this before I cancel (again) my Plex subscription.
