I’ve been moving some TV shows from one directory to another and when rescanning the TV Shows library I can see in the log that the agent fails when the episode title contains E01. At least that’s what I can gather from the logs.
This is independent of the TV show and does not happen with the rest of the episodes and has no influence in the respective episodes metadata because it was already fetched long time ago.
I believe this started happening with the previous PMS version but I’m not sure.
I’ve attached an excerpt of the logs so you can clearly see what I’m talking about
It happens when scanning a library. Or rather a path in the library.
Normally, instead of scanning the whole TV Shows library I scan individual shows when they have already been added to the library:
curl -X GET "192.168.1.100:32400/library/sections/2/refresh?path=%5C%5CMyCloudPR2100%5CDisk1%5CTVShows1%5CDeutschland&X-Plex-Token=[MYTOKEN]"
This is the error in the log
May 16, 2025 11:52:30.036 [6876] ERROR - [MetadataAgent/tv.plex.metadata.agents] Request for item plex://season/602e6715c47d69002c8b9ec6 has failed
May 16, 2025 11:52:30.036 [6876] WARN - Scanner [Plex TV Series]: unable to find agent match for item file '\\MyCloudPR2100\Disk1\TVShows1\Deutschland\Season 02\S02E01 - Tar Baby.mkv'
I’ve moved two TV shows from one directory to another. One with 1 season and the other with 3 seasons.
Scanned the TV Shows library and as you can see in the logs, the unable to find agent match for item file... error always happens when the episode is E01, not with the others.
There must be something that triggers this error. Can’t see that there are ill effects though. Probably because these episodes have been matched previously. Quite some time ago actually.
