Scanner sees "@" directories on QNAP

Sorry, not sure where else to ask this, please move to the appropriate area if need be.

As above, I set up my file structure as suggested, out of the “MultiMedia” virtual folder and into their own folders drect from the root. Now I have a new problem. One of the back up features on the Qnap TS-453be is the SNAPSHOT feature. It wan last night, and now plex is doing this with the folder it creates to backup the data in the “TV” folder.

It’s showing duplicate movie files now too (there’s the blue ‘2’ box in the top corner) here is what plex is seeing when you check the info:

Is there a way to get plex to ignore folders that start with an “@”? Or do I have to shut down the Snapshot feature? It never did this when I have everything in MULTIMEDIA. it would just do a snapshot for that folder, but since PLEX wasn’t pointed the folders inside it would ignore the @Snapshot folder.

Or should I created a MYMEDIA shared folder and add all my media to it, the same way I transfered it out of MultiMedia? So the folder structure would be share/chachedev1_data/MyMedia/Movies?

Which PMS version please?

@russbgrant

I put this over here. It deserves its own topic. One was DVR, this is the Scanner.

Plex Version 3.67.1.

I decided to just move my media one more time. It screwed up some custom tagging in one of my largest directories but I can fix it.

Thanks Russ.

3.67.1 is the web player version.

PMS version is under Settings - Server - General.

Regardless, I verified with the QA team lead and the change is already set to go in and be taken care of. That issue will go away.

How is QTS 4.3.5 for you?

Sorry, it was version Version 1.13.8.5395

Everything seems to be working fine, other than this hic-cup.

Sorry, I double checkd and I’m not on the beta for 4.3.5.

Thanks.

It lookd like 1.13.8 and 4.3.5 to us as well. Since 4.3.5 is freshly released, I wanted to confirm. I’ve been focusing on the new Snapshot features of 4.3.5

The change to ignore this in the future is already in place and ready to go for next release.

Thanks for the update. I should be extra protected now regardless.
