Scanning files in subdirectory or adding two path for a library

Hello,

My plex server isn’t indexing files who is on a subdirectory of the library path.

The subdirectory name is like “disk2” and contain many files with correct name label inside.

Any files who is in the main directory are listed on plex, but all files in the subdirectory “disk2” are not listed on plex.

How could I make plex search inside this subdirectory and add files to the library ?

I tried to add a second path for the library but it’s seem not possible.

Any suggestion ? I really dont want to have two library for the same type of content.

Server running the last plexmediaserver version on debian.

Thanks in advance.

Have a nice day

EDIT:

This issue only happen for the Series library!
I have the same directory structure for the Movie library and it seem working well as my movies inside the “disk2” subfolder are listed on the plex library.

Series libraries do NOT support sub directories, besides “Show Name” and “Season XX”

What you can do however, is move “disk2” directory one path up, and then edit and add “disk2” afterwards as a secondary library path

Hi @dane22
In fact the disk2 sub is a symlink to a mounted device. I cannot move the disk2 dir one path up…
I tried to add a second library path using the edit functions but I could not add another path… Is it a plex pass functions ?

EDIT:

I simply added the path to the device and its worked !

Thank you

Remember to remove the symlink
