I currently have just over 50 different folders of films and tv shows in my Plex library. When I open the Plex app on my PS4 it will only show the first 36 folders on screen. If I move the highlighted yellow rectangular cursor to the right of the screen to then access the other folders, the cursor moves offscreen. If you tap it to the right a few times it then autoscrolls to the "Continue Watching", "On Deck" , and "Recently Added" features skipping very fast over the other 20 something folders. When the cursor is off screen, I can access the extra folders I can't see but I have no idea what folder I am opening.
I have tried scrolling with the joysticks, D-pad, and just about every other button on my PS4 controller. Am I doing something completely wrong? Am I just missing something really simple?
My friends library that he shares with me does the same exact thing when I bring his up on screen.
I guess it is just a personal preference because I have so much media on my Plex server. I just like my entertainment catagorized in certain ways. For example, I like series of films like my Marvel films together in one place and all my James Bond films in one place. I would prefer to not put them all together in say just an Action Films folder.
You may already be aware, but Plex does support Collections. We've yet to add this to the PS4 app, yet they're a super powerful way to mix/match/filter a general library into individual facets.
