SD remote quality and can’t turn off automatic adjust quality

A recent server update (can’t pinpoint which version number) seems to have affected the remote streaming quality settings, I remember receiving a new notification on the clients after this update about remote streaming and lower quality

I’m running Mac and Synology servers and all remote users are being limited in quality with any type of client (Android TV, Apple TV, iOS) turning off automatic quality settings and trying to switch to full quality/original quality (1080p) does nothing, they’re all being restricted to SD

Settings → Server_Name → General
or
Authorized Devices

Monitor streaming via Plex Dashboard → Now Playing.

Are the connections Local, Remote, or Indirect?

If Indirect, they are connecting via Plex Relay, which is limited to 2 Mbps (1 Mbps w/o a Plex Pass).

If all users connect Indirect, check your remote access settings.

If only some connect Indirectly, they need to check their Internet settings.

I did indeed have a remote access issue which I wasn’t aware of because I didn’t know Plex relays, thanks :grin::+1:t2:
