When searching for content in Plex, this new Movies & TV category shows up first, then the Library content. I’d assume most people care more about library content results than this new feature. Is there a way to change the order of the search results page?
I’ve already had to disable Web shows, News, and Podcasts since those search results were above library as well and required several page down’s to get to the results I cared about.
Agreed, it’s annoying…
The only thing I have found is that when initiating a search from a library, those results will be at the top at least. But searching from the Home Screen sucks 
The search results from home are expected to respect the order of the libraries as pinned on the left side nav. If that’s not happening, we should know about it, that’s a bug. As @darcilicious pointed out, if you search from any specific library, results within that library should be listed first.
I too am frustrated that PLEXs new on demand venture is degrading my library experience. I’ll add that I would like to leave the on demand active. But I would prefer to disable searching of the on demand content. Perhaps the search function should have a filter to limit it to LOCAL or REMOTE resources.
Definitely not happening on plex web.
ad movies/tv are the bottom library, and yet they are the top search result section.
So I just re-enabled the News, Podcasts, Web Shows, and Movies & TV to test. They are currently shown on the left column of the Plex Web interface below the Home and all my local libraries.
After searching, the search results are in the order: Movies & TV, Web Shows, News, Podcasts, and then finally my library, then Live TV & DVR. I could care less of what the actual order is as long as the Library items show up first since that’s arguably the main/most used function of Plex.

Fantastic, this was driving me nuts as podcasts and everything were showing before my library, even though they weren’t pinned at all. Seems to be fixed with latest server release.
