Control library sort order on Plex Search Results page

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058
Player Version#: all client versions

When I perform a search for any terms on any Plex client (verified in: Chrome, iOS, iPadOS, Roku, AppleTV), the search results page (SRP) ALWAYS puts music results at the top. 99.9999% of the time I’m not looking for a music artist, or a song track, or an album… I’m looking for a Movie or a TV Show to watch. I need to be able to prioritize which of my servers and subsequently which libraries appear on the top of the SRP and be able to choose in which order those servers and libraries results appear on that SRP.

This could be a feature by simply adding a priority score (integer) to the library advanced settings so that I can tell which of my libraries I want to see first.

I absolutely HATE using Plex’s search on my devices because I constantly see music items first. I have to scroll 1/2-3/4 of the way down the SRP page to see my Movie or TV Show results. I can’t stand this behavior. Without a way to allow me to prioritize my search results, I’m going to end up removing my 200GB Music Library from Plex.

We’re given all kinds of sorting ability when it comes to prioritizing the sources for metadata on all the libraries… why can’t we sort the libraries on the search page too?

I am happy to move this to the feature suggestion area of forums if you wish.

@BigWheel Yes please - move it to the feature request section. Thanks!
