Season-specific extras not working

Server Version#: 1.28.2.6151 on RHEL
Player Version#: Local Plex website, any app client

I can’t seem to get Plex to recognize any extras at the season level. If I put non-episode files into “…/Season ##/Featurettes” (or Other, Behind the Scenes, Deleted Scenes, etc.) the Plex TV Series agent won’t pick them up. I tried switching to the “Plex Series Scanner” agent but that didn’t work, either. I also tried deleting the entire TV Series library in Plex, recreated it, and it still wouldn’t pick up the extras. Right now, the best I seem to be able to do is put season-specific extras alongside the episodes and then have them appear as generic “Episode XX”.

I think placing all extras in a series-level “Specials” folder does work but that just gets extremely messy and unorganized.

What is the correct way to get season-specific extras to register at the season-level? If agents can’t follow the standard pattern for extras folders at the season level, is there a way to force them to understand the content with XML files containing custom tags or anything?

The only apps which can show season-level extras are the mobile apps.
All other app types will simply not show them.

I think I’ve only skimmed that warning in the light blue box before, never really comprehending what it was telling me. Seeing keywords like Apple TV and Roku, which are things I’m not using, had me skipping over that warning.
