When you enter a TV show, the first screen defaults to the next unwatched episode button, which is nice, and works perfectly.
When you click on a specific season, however, you enter a new layout with the active button highlighted on the season you just entered (let’s say, Season 2). I have to then click downward to get to either the play button or the episode thumbnails.
Inside seasons, I think the Play button should default to the latest unwatched episode in the season. Currently it does not (for instance, it sits at “Play S2 E1” even though I have watched several episodes in season 2 already). I would also argue that this should be the default highlighted button when you enter a season, and that maybe it should also be at the top of the screen above the thumbnails. But at the least, the play button should at least play the next unwatched episode in the season, like the main page for the show displays.
