Secondary Audio Device while casting.

This is pretty out there, but I think it would be handy, and probably not impossible to implement.

When casting from say, a smart phone to a TV/Roku/Chromecast, a nice feature would be to have the audio also be sent the the casting device, the smartphone.

This would allow for wireless audio, and wireless headphones, something that is very expensive.
With this, one could plug headphones and be good to go.
I am sure there are other use cases, but the one i have is being able to watch TV at night without disturbing anyone else in the room.
Another is being able to carry around the device if you like to keep the tv on while doing things around the house.

The playing device (Roku/TV/Chromecast) would not even need to know it is happening, as it can just be muted.

Im sure timing might be a little difficult, but just slap “Beta Feature” on it, and all set.

This is a feature I’d really like as well

Sounds like a reasonable idea to me!

This kind of ties in with the tandem playback request

It would be very useful.

New Roku stick has this option. Ill have to try it
