Hello,
The feature I am requesting is to have audio playing through the speakers/headphone jack/bluetooth of your device while casting (ie: casting to chromecast, appletv, etc).
I feel this would be a great feature for the following groups:
- Elderly
- The polite neighbor (works days, does not want to keep people up who are trying to sleep)
- The accommodating spouse (wants their lovely to sleep but still watch on big screen)
- My parents (who want the volume so loud on movie night I can’t stand to be in the room)
Rather than jerryrigging something for headphones to be connected to the TV, because this usually disables the speaker audio. I would like to be able to play audio through the device casting the video to the TV. This would allow the TV volume to be set to a reasonable level while allowing someone else to adjust the volume using their device to their comfort level.
Ideally, it would be possible for any device connected to the casting device (ie: chromecast). I understand that this feature is already in the roku 3 player, but when headphones are plugged in it disables the speaker audio on the TV.
I have already tested by casting the screen of my Nexus 6 while watching plex on my device, and was able to get audio on my device and video on the TV but not both.
