Secure server connection - I am so confused!

I want to secure access to Plex server from the internet and I have never worked with certificates. Is there step by step instructions on how to generate a certificate and install it in Plex?

I am running the latest version of Plex on Windows 10.
I have a custom DNS routing to my IP. (*****.ddns.net)
