As it is right now, the security for sharing is broken down by library type (ie. Movies, TV Shows, Albums) and then by label/rating. Putting that restriction field within a library type limits all libraries of those types.
I have a particular situation where I would like to let someone see a partial view of one library and full access to another library (both of type TV Shows). As this situation exists now, I must grant each show in the full access library with a label as I did in the partial library template or the person can’t see the items. It would be great if we could base our use of the partial security rights based on a label or rating level for specific libraries only. I hope this makes sense.
“TV Show” library is Joe’s. “Barb’s Library” is the other person’s TV library.
Rather than making copies of some of Joe’s library, certain specific shows are labeled that Barb can see them. But Barb has her own things she wants to see that Joe is not interested in.
Joe can’t see Barb’s things. Barb can see the few things in Joe’s library but if she adds new items into her own library, she has to wait until someone tags her new things as visible.
