Sega CD/MegaCD emulator

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the Sega CD roms supported on Arcade? Ive had a look and it looks like Picodrive should support the CD format so I’m presuming the Arcade only needs to be able to recognise img/cue/ccd format???

Can someone on the dev team enable support for bin/cue/iso formats in PicoDrive? These filetypes are used by the Sega CD/MegaCD emulator and would enable playing these games on Plex Arcade.

@elan is there any progress on adding other emulators/support for cd images to Plex Arcade yet?

Yep, we’re working on getting metadata for a few platforms to start

I shall keep an eye out for this then  Just need the admin side of things integrated into Plex admin pages and all will be good.

Any updates on extending out to other emulators?

We’ve made some progress, have it scanning in disc image-based games, but we ran into some hiccups testing the new cores. Need to do some low-level OpenGL work

I’m presuming that could be some time coming then? lol

This is great news (I mean, the progress, not the OpenGL issues). As my son has now found my PS5, it feels only right to show him what FIFA (96), GTA, Ratchet & Clank, FF VII, GT, Tomb Raider etc all originally looked like back in the PS1 days

any updates on the OpenGL issues?

what cores were giving the issues? SegaCD should be fairly straight-forward as you already have core emulators that support the SegaCD, just need Plex Arcade to recognise the media
