I would like to have the ability to select a few different shows that I have watched all episodes of, and put them into random queue to where say 3-4 series would play random episodes one after another. I have Plex running in the background while I’m working and I wouldn’t mind seeing this feature.
I searched to see if this feature was requested, but I did not come up with any results.
Good point. I’m not sure how that would work out exactly - but it wouldn’t bother me THAT much if one doubled up. I have 5 series that I would put on random right now - and each one has a minimum of 50 episodes (Some double) so the odds of back to back would be fairy low.
Select ‘Show Title’ and ‘contains’
in the 3rd field type the title or a part of the title of your desired show and press Enter.
Then type the title of a second show and press Enter again.
and so on until you have all series you want
Then click on ‘Apply’
Then click on the ‘Add to Playlist’ icon and name your playlist
This playlist is a smart playlist, it will grow or shrink automatically if new episodes are added or deleted.
You only need to call it up on whichever Plex client you want and hit ‘Shuffle’.
