Select Player - NOTHING LISTED ANYMORE

Problem arose and I am lost as to how to fix it. Nothing changed but yesterday when I fired up the laptop that has the server software on it, when I SELECT PLAYER my ROKU smart TV is no longer listed / nothing shows but the word cast. My ROKU TV is listed as an authorized device, but there is no way for me to connect to it from the laptop any longer. I didn’t do anything / it just disappeared and I cannot find anyway to restore that connection. Removed all PLEX from the computer and then re-installed but same results. WHAT DO I DO? This is driving me crazy / it just disappeared. HELP - no way to fling content to the ROKU TV.

What URL are you using. And it is https

Is Remote Control enabled in the Roku app settings?

Yes, Remote control is enabled. Like I stated one day the Roku TV was listed then the next nothing. Now all the SELECT PLAYER shows is CAST.
On the TCL Roku TV Screen Mirroring there are NO allowed devices listed.

I am perplexed.

What URL are you using the web at from. Have you tried rebooting the roku? if you use one the mobile apps does it show there?

I do not clearly understand “what URL are you using the web from” - please try for this 70 year old again (Thanks). Strange that on my Motorola G6 phone running PLEX I am able to see and choose the ROKU TV as a player and control the TV with the phone (it is working the way the laptop use to). Seems my laptop / server configuration is at fault - but what to do. Awaiting your next bit of wisdom. Again, THANKS.

URL means the web site address. Are you going to https://app.plex.tv or something like http://127.0.0.1:32400/web

http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#

can you please try going to https://app.plex.tv/desktop and see if the same thing happens.

(the layout will be different but the casting icon should be in the same place)

https://app.plex.tv/desktop#

The SELECT PLAYER still just shows CAST.

Wondering if it has anything to do with the web browser. Not sure which you are using but can you try Chrome or Firefox.

Do you know how to find the IP address of the Roku and of your computer? seems like it is behaving like they are not on the same network.

Using BRAVE (latest edition) as my browser.
Computer IP - 192.168.0.226
ROKU TV (TCL) IP - 192.168.0.229

is it blocking anything in it’s shields up feature? if that is on for the site can you try turning it of temporarily to see if any change.

referring to this when you click on the lion icon

Was blocked / turned OFF Shield.

Still the same results

Off to the vet’s office. Be back in an hour.

Right now I don’t think it is anything wrong with your system. This unfortunately seems to be a bug effecting Windows. it is working fine for me on my Mac. I’m not sure what the cause is yet.

Back from the vet.

Do you know how to view console logs in the brower?

I am using Widows 10 18970 advanced release (Fast Ring).

Never tried to view Console Logs / nothing showing when I view the CharlesWeber-PC

Plex Media Server Logs from the Mange area.

With the page loaded. right click anywhere in blank part of page and choose inspect form the menu. then a side bar will open up where you can click Console to view things as the page renders elements and loads things. I am curious what errors, if any, show up when you open the select player menu.

( it may have sensitive data so don’t post the results here publicly but you can click on my avatar and choose message to send it just to me.)

I’m not familiar with or know if there are any known issues with the Fast Ring build of windows you are running.
