Is it possible to hide specific media files from the library without having to remove them from the library locations? And the agent won’t re-add them…like some kind of exception list?
sort of
Most of us just mark them as played.
In the event we want them removed from the library - we select ‘Delete’.
I can think of no instance wherein I want a media item put in a ‘stand by’ location - and If I did, I’d move it to a folder Plex isn’t looking at with my file manager.
I DO NOT what Plex involved in deciding what I should keep and what should be discarded. I disabled that crap when I told it NOT to delete items my DVR recorded in some Plex Auto-Fackin-Nightmare even I have no control over or Plex has any notion of what I want.
Items suddenly started showing up missing - before I’d watched them - and that pretty much told me what I should do about it… take Plex OUT of the ‘Delete’ equation.
If it were up to Plex - we’d delete everything that wasn’t Plex Movies and TV. <— and Plex would let us know when we’ve deleted enough.
If you want that - just do it.
From the file manager.
Exactly what I’m looking for, thank you!
I concur, if that’s how I was managing my media content…
