Separate 4K files

Again, with multiple versions of a film, it doesn’t work.

And it clearly doesn’t work for everyone else hence the old thread I linked to.

Anyway, I think I’ve solved it with rclone -vv -P move /share/video/films /share/video/films-4k --include *2160p*

ok well I don’t have any example duplicates to test here remotely.

you can see movies with multiple copies via the DUPLICATES filter

sorry if none of that helps then.

FWIW, the view by resolution works for me.

File structure:

Test-Movies/
  /Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018)
    /Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018) [1080p].mkv
    /Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018) [2160p].mkv
 /Await Further Instructions (2018)
    /Await Further Instructions (2018).mkv

View Resolution = 4K

View Resolution = 1080p

If you have to move them anyway, get down in that file system and examine each file’s properties. I use MediaInfo (freeware). Right click the file, select Media Info and presto, all the info regarding resolution, audio format, subtitles, etc.

I use MediaInfo all the time. What made you think I didn’t?

I don’t see how it’s remotely useful for what I was asking though?

Why are you trying to do this IN Plex? Just go to windows (or whatever OS you are using) and do a find on all the movies with that 4k marker in the name and cut and paste them into a new folder. Create a new library in PLEX for just that folder and reprocess.

Because Explorer/Finder search wasn’t working on a rclone remote.
