Movies I put in Library 1 show up there and there only.
Movies I put in Library 2, however, show up in Library 2 AND in Library 1
The whole point, for me, in having two separate libraries is to prevent them from becoming co-mingled. I want the movies in Library 1 to appear there and there only. And I want the movies in Library 2 to appear there and there only.
What am I doing wrong?
Would have to see screenshots of the Add Folders tab for each Library. If you have the folder “/media/movies/Movie Library 2” added to Library 2 then I could see how it would only show movies added under that folder. If you have “/media/Movies” added to Library 1 then that would be why it is showing movies that are in the folders “Movies Library 1” and “Movie Library 2”
I had to go to the computer where the Plex storage drive is connected to get it to work the way I wanted. I made the actual library names match my examples in my post. Each has videos below them. The video folder is the name of the film followed by the release year in parentheses, IE:
A Man for All Seasons (1966)
And the film filename is the same with an MP4 file extension:
Because Mikes Movies has both /Movies and /Movies/Mikes movies it will include all subfolders of the top level folder movies. This includes Damiens Movies
I thought I had a grip on folder structure. Clearly I was wrong. How can I correct this? Another /movies tree under /media? Perhaps /movies1 with Damien’s movies below?
Remove /movies from the Library 1 folders. You have both libraries added to their own subfolder problem is you added the top level movie folder to one library so it see all movies in both subfolders: Movies Mike and Movies Damien.
