Serenity for Android 1.7.2-M1 has been released.
This contains more performance improvements and a migrating the Main menu creation code to Volley. In addition the way the background image is displayed has been reworked. It will be cached and resized if necessary, and any subsequent calls for it should be much faster. This in general makes moving through the main menu with a Remote control smoother as the rendering of the background image now happens in it's own thread.
There are some additional tweaks to the way images are fetched as and resized from the plex server as well.
