Series Not Being Added

Hi Guys,

I’m having some issues with TV Series not being added. The series is Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, the prequel to the 3 part Spartacus Series. Plex finds the actual Spartacus series but fails to add Gods of the Arena despite the fact that it’s known and there are movie posters for it being linked to the Spartacus series. I’m sure can be resolved but I’m not sure how to adjust the settings. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First thing to check is that your files are organized so that Plex will understand them:

Also be aware that TheTVDB and The Movie Database (and therefore Plex) consider Gods of the Arena to be specials for the main Spartacus series. As such, they should be named as S00E01 - S00E06 in your Specials/Season 00 folder in you main series directory, not as a separate show.

After naming them as specials you can enable Use season titles

3 dots next to the library → Manage Library → Edit → Advanced

After you refresh the metadata for the show it will display the seasons like this

Thanks, I’ll try this. I had it being added at one point then something went south as I added other content and I started over from scratch. I am a stickler for getting it right. I’ll try these suggestions. Also having a similar problem with other Vikings related content. Yep, I’m getting hung up in my Historical Fiction directory, if you can’t tell.

Got it sorted out. Plex now sees Spartacus as four seasons instead of three.
