Series titles for avi or mkv format

I am looking for some guidance on how to make this work. For MP4 files this works like a charm and grabs the title for episodes from metadata. Also works for mkv
For AVI it shows “Episode 1” or a date. I am following the naming convention
Is this simply not supported

It isn’t. Plex will only read meta tags from mp4 files.

Strange - for me sometimes it looks like it works for mkv. Other times not :upside_down_face:
