There are so many issues we keep bringing up again and again and again. And we are always told you are working on them, and then a year later nothing. Yet we keep getting the layout and user interface moved around…and even worse it is usual not for the better. Can we stop messing with the UI and fix the stuff that needs fixing? Like non-stop sync issues, non stop issues with watched status not being translated to the server, the last spot being saved when you back out of a video, the play and pause button showing the opposite of what it should be, the app looking for the server for endless minutes even though you are in offline mode, the scrolling of your library lagging and stopping when you first pull down, etc?
Agreed - made the mistake of “upgrading” the android TV app today and the new UI is AWFUL. I don’t know what Plex is thinking. Wish there was a way to go back to the old one, it was so much better than this new mess.
It they are going to keep messing with the UI how some art guy. Because this non stop juggling of where stuff is, not only makes it hard to find stuff, also it isn’t very nice to look at either. The layout is blah. Hire an art guy and come up with something more robust or just leave it alone. If is we another UI change and it’s the same boring layout, I’m going to puke. But again, even more important fix the functional issues first.
Not only the awful layout, but they seem to have introduced a whole new class of bugs.
This new version is unusable. My server never appears on my TV now. The server appears on every other device in the house - android phone, windows 10 app on the PC, but the Android TV app can’t see anything.
This is a whole new level of incompetence. And I’m not even gonna bother waiting to hear any response - they never respond to anything, never address any issues - that’s why I didn’t renew my plex pass. All I got for it was horrendously buggy software and zero support.
