The new UI is garbage, you cannot find your media easily, its unintuitive it’s frustrating and its unstable!
I have 2 plex servers, one is for 4k the other is standard media, WHY have you removed my ability to select a server? I dont even see how I can check server status, streaming to a chrome is unusable now, in fact the whole user experience is horrible it continually crashes and refuses to stream.
You have ruined you app, I have been a life time subscriber for 4 years? I’ve never felt the need to change from plex until now.
Tap on your avatar, go to settings/advanced/server connections/+
Then you will be able select from your movies, tv , photos, etc from there sources. Example: which server> @direwind said:

that is silly like @direwind mentioned, i see no way to chose another server, or how you go for offline play if you sync a item? this is on iOS
Garbage is being nice and I agree. Every song I play buffers. I have 50 mbps on my cellular and 5 mbps upload on my home server and songs still buffer. How in the hell does a 5 MB song buffer at those speeds?!!! Should never happen. Unplayable and complete garbage.
All I want to know is how do I get “browse” back as my default? If I had know this update was going to take away the only view I use, I would never have updated. Having to click 3 times before I am at some remnant of the browse ui is unacceptable.

Have you checked your network ip’s, Reserve the LAN addresses at Router
@stephen3001, if I was a free-loader user I would just move on and find another product. But I’m a paying customer and I have no qualms about voicing my displeasure about the new iOS interface. Useless because there’s nothing there.
@admin, I’m sorry for my rant. I was taken aback because I encountered this on a mini road trip with friends and I was telling everyone how great Plex was. How it was easy to use and never buffered even when I had only 1 bar signal. Then, constant buffering and couldn’t find anything without serious hunting and trial and error. I was not happy.
Please, at the very least, put the last version back on the app store so I can use it instead. It worked perfectly on all my devices.
@bigdippertiger – let it grow on you for a few days/weeks… the new design has its perks that just need some getting used to.
The old design also mostly worked because people got used to how to use it. how would you e.g. have explained to your friends that discover/browse worked depending on where in your library you were?
For me it took a moment to familiarize with all the new “…” menus to customize things. By now I have it mostly how I want it to be
The v7 app is terrible. I can see where you were going by changing the navigation but why? The existing navigation was better - you could have just added the new featues to a new tab without changing the features that were being fully used by people like me EVERY DAY. Yes, the change was disruptive.
Also the bugs are terrible
And there was no intriductory information explaining anything or helping me to recover the lost functionality.
This was a terrible rollout of alpha software as production ready.
In your notes you buried a line - no warning for regular users who trusted that they were installing a regular update - saying that the new version was limited to 1 minute of play until making an in-app purchase … but there was no way to play anything and no menu option to make the in-app purchase.
This was a disaster in every way.
Compare this behaviour with your previously stated attitude towards charges and fees. See the difference? Moreover your behavior and comments now warn that this will be a pattern. We shouldn’t trust you at all - anything goes with you guys.
Now I want an option to get the functionality of the previous version for a reasonable software fee - not a “plex pass for life,” and I want the option to stick with a version for a while - years - between having to pay upgrade fees between forced upgrades.

I too am a paying customer, but paying for a product doesn’t mean you have carte blanche input on how it should be created. You buy the product as is. If you buy a toaster and it doesn’t toast the bread to your liking, you don’t go back to the company and tell them to change how its done.

You do if you bought a toaster that worked exactly as you wanted, they then came to your house, removed half the elements, called it an “upgrade” and it never toasted to the same level again.
Being that we paid for a product and that product now isn’t what we paid for, I feel justified in the backlash that has developed as a result.

You say removed the elements, I say re arranged the elements. Its all still there you just have to take the time to adjust.
