Server cannot upload/load local media assets

I recently moved my system to a new OS and got everything almost working however Plex cannot load/upload any of my local media art/assets. I mainly use this feature for my local music but it doesn’t work on any media type in my server, Plex can fetch online assets somewhat but even some popular titles/albums wont get a art cover loaded, trying to manually upload them Plex says “there was an error uploading this artwork . try again”. All the troubleshooting steps I took, I moved my media drive mount’s from

“/home/user/media/ MEDIADRIVES /…” to

“/media/ MEDIADRIVES /…” ,

I found the ID for Plex’s user and group and used “chown” on both the drive mounts and some media assets to see if there was any permission issues, after all that I decided to copy all my music media from the drives into my root drive to see if there was a filesystem issue, even added Plex to my wheel group to see it maybe that would somehow do anything but nothing has changed so far (now removed from wheel group). Ive been going over the arch wiki entry for Plex and I cant find any entry on local media assets or what could be causing this, I got it to work once before I had to reinstall my OS a few times after I failed to configure other things on my system but I cant get it back to how it worked before.

Im not sure what logs/info I should provide, my media drives are formatted in NTFS which seems like would be an issue but than moving my media/local asset files into my main drive should’ve fixed it if so. Any info on maybe config files, or any logs I can pull I can happily add, I’m just not sure where to go from here, any help is most definitely appreciated thank you!

Hi! Thanks so much for directing to the article, unfortunately I was able to follow through the process and reconfigure my fstab with no errors but than Plex still will not allow my local assets to show unfortunately. Im not sure if I can get a XML to paste into here since this isnt a playback issue but I was able to reset the server and download the logs after recreating the issue if that too helps at all, if Im out in the dust on this it’s alright I can still at least access all my media I just love the customization Plex brought to my media library

Ill upload the log.zip if it helps, otherwise thanks for pointing me to what I should do, it did help me organize my directories a little so that was nice!

Shows you’re uploading posters which are too big.

Also, your network is “flapping” (going up/down/up/down)

Cut down the image sizes to something less than 10MB

Interesting, I think I’m just gonna give up on this than, majority of all my album cover’s aren’t over 2MB in size and even ones less than 1MB wont get uploaded, in fact the ONE out of almost 200 albums I have has a extreme hi-res cover, close to 12MB and its one of the only one’s that automatically gets uploaded from the personal media agent with everything else blank. Thank you for the help though I appreciate it, I got it to work once so eventually I should be able to get it to work again maybe after learning more about Linux and the processes in my system, the network flapping seems strange to me too but I and no one else has had any problems streaming remotely so I think Ill just be ignoring that too for now until its a issue I have to fix, much love
