I just took a look and unfortunately didn’t see these files in the folder. I’ve restarted the machine since the crash, so I assume that’s related. If there’s another crash, I’ll avoid a machine restart and check the folder. In the meantime, I updated to 1.29.1. Hopefully that resolves it!
I had another crash yesterday morning (7:19AM). I noticed that there was a file in the temp directory under the PlexUpdater folder at that exact time. I’m including the logs and the file I saw in the temp directory. Let me know if there are any other relevant files that could help!

The logs are from a server running on Docker
Oops, I’m sorry about that. I have a couple of different servers and the web view defaulted to one running on docker (on another machine). I should have caught that. I’ve attached the relevant logs here now. The temp file above should coincide with these logs. The server crashed at 7:19 on 10/26 and there are a few different log files at that time.
I had to do a second restart of the server because the settings wouldn’t load to create the zip file. If the logs aren’t useful after the second restart, I can try this exercise again next time it crashes.
I just checked the server again tonight and I think around 6:17PM the scanner started running. After that started, the server was unaccessible while the server app was still running (between 8PM and 8:09PM I tried accessing it). I assume this is the lead up to a crash. I restarted to regain access and save the logs. Included is a screenshot of what I saw around 8PM when I tried to access the server locally. I’m wondering if this is related to an issue with the scanner, as it seems like the IMDB scanner is constantly throwing a critical error when it runs.
That crash dmp file that was in the $TMPDIR directory was from October 26th - the crash would have at or before Oct 26, 2022 07:19 am

Are you running some proxy server software that may be intercepting 127.0.0.1 packets ? I see continuous timeouts for communications between the server process and the PlexScriptHost processes where the requests stop going through - that has been seen to arise when proxy software runs on a machine that intercepts 127.0.0.1 traffic.
The output from these commands in terminal would show if there is a proxy running

For Plex Media Server launch 28th October 18:17 to shutdown 30th October 20:08:
From about 2am on 30th October, the PlexScriptHost process for com.plexapp.system stopped receiving requests from the Plex Media Server - Do not know why that happened. This remained the case until the server was restarted at 20:08 on the 30th October - I do not know if that was because a proxy software application or vpn application started running around 2am on the 30th
The impact of this is that server settings would not be available - whilst communication between Plex Media Server and the Plex Script Host com.plexapp.system fail
The logs for this period also show that the Plex Media Server attempts to communicate with plex.tv and the backend systems for server security certificate were failing. A mixture of timeouts / curl failure to connect or DNS lookup failures for plex.tv - suggesting some networking / internet connectivity issue on the server.
Such failures could lead to Not Authorized errors showing if security tokens used are not out of date or if no security token is used for access from Plex Web

With regards to the scanner activity - logs show it starting at around 18:21

Thanks very much for all of this helpful info. I’m starting to dig into this further now with this additional info. It’s so odd that there would be anything intercepting the local traffic. I only run a few apps locally alongside Plex on this machine. For now, I’ve made sure nothing else but Plex is running locally and will see if that gets things stable.
Secondarily, I’m wondering if there is a networking hardware issue on this new machine. Really odd that the en0 drops out occasionally.
Yes that is odd - it seemed to clear up after the restart of Plex Media Server at Oct 30, 2022 20:08:41. Was the mac rebooted then or just a Plex Media Server exit and re-launch

I’m curious what causes the server to crash at the point that it did vs other instances of similar logs related to network interface changes/issues. The main difference seems to be a lot more of this log:
WARN - Error replying to broadcast packet: send_to: Network is unreachable
I haven’t noticed any other network issues on this machine. Definitely a strange situation!
That was a full system reboot on 10/30.
I made sure to check all of the network adapter settings. Everything is setup pretty stock. I connect via the single ethernet port on the Mac Studio and have a static IP provisioned for the machine. There is no power saving, so don’t think that’s related. The only other network-related item is that I mount a Synology NAS that holds my Plex library. I had that same setup on the old machine though.
Had a crash yesterday evening 8:17PM, right after I checked it around 8PM.
Could you look for this file in $TMPDIR

@Robert_Alexander We have just fixed the issue we had for analyzing dumps from Mac M1 systems. The fix came out in the 1.30.2.6563 that was released to beta yesterday - which is available now to Plex Pass users
As you do not appear to have a Plex Pass, please wait for this release to become a public release and then update to it and if you get new crashes with the new version, please provide the debug server logs and then I can identify the dmp file(s) to retrieve

I’ve been running this version for a few weeks (I have a Plex pass on another account) and it has resolved all of my crashing issues. Thanks for all of the help here!
