I have just restored my DB - and along with my photos I have set up the library again due to not having backed up the reg key ( i have now done this for future proof)
I have added logs and database please help me get Plex running smooth and quick as it was pre-hard drive crash
I’ve had a similar issue for years now, still no fix.
We’ve had a few similar reports of this issue and have introduced some changes in PMS 1.11.3.4793 to try and mitigate the problem. The cause of this has been especially tricky to track down but we have been working hard towards eliminating issues like this.
Update to the latest PMS release and see if that helps with stability on your system.

I’m on Version 1.11.3.4803 and it’s still happening. Most days I have to restart the server when the photo library starts scanning.

Could you provide new logs from this issue in 1.11.3, I’d like to see if it’s the same issue.
attach - seems to happen when i add a large amount of TV SHows too - ie a season box set. used to be fine but i did have a crash and had to restore a few weeks ago.
I’ve given up on Plex for this reason, I have the exact same libraries in Emby, and no crashes period.
The only way I have gotten Plex to quit crashing is to remove my photo libraries; I have a couple of million pictures…but like I said Emby handles that just fine.
Plex didn’t have these issues until early 2018 or so. I have gone so far as to complete uninstall, remove directories, clean DB, etc…nothing worked, other than removing the photo library.
can’t see any logs or posts concerning your long outstanding issue

Ensure debug logging is enabled
Restart the server to get fresh logs created
Capture the logs zip after restart following a crash
Attach the logs here together with summary of what happened and at what time
