This just started happening yesterday but every single time I try to scan media it does fine for a while and it finds my new media but then gets hung at the end of the scan and it crashes the entire server. What gives?

Player Version#: 3.85.2
This is still happening but now after crashing when I try to restart plex it starts as normal and appears in my dock but when I try to connect via 127.0.0.1 I just get unable to connect. & when trying via Plex.tv showing the server is unreachable. Plex shows it’s running fine. This only starts happening when these crashes started to occur and is fixed by restarting the computer.
What can I do?
Bump. Still happening. Why has plex been giving me more and more issues recently when I’ve been able to use it fine for years. This year has been a mess. I’m about to build a brand new computer and if this keeps up I may have to switch to Kodi or something else.
Server is still crashes on scans… no idea why. I’ve also constantly been getting “There was an unexpected error loading the dashboard” on both Web & PS4 for no reason. I’ve tried optimizing the database several times to no avail. It still constantly happens and then just starts working again like nothing happened. This has been going on all year but the crashes just started happening this week. Could this be because my library is so large by chance?

Still happening. From what I can tell the scan works perfectly up until it gets everything scanned in one library and then crashes at the very end. The only way I can get Plex up and running again without restarting the computer is just ending every process related to Plex.
I could really use some help. I just built a brand new computer so I’m hoping when I transfer my server this problem doesn’t persist or I’m going to have to start from scratch which is going to take forever with how big my libraries are.

EDIT: It’s crashing even when trying to run an optimization rather than scan. Crashing if I do anything new to the server. Other than that it’s running fine and playing things as normal. It’s very annoying because I’m constantly adding stuff and it keeps crashing…

Bump. Me too.
Having the Same exact issue. I have to restart my PC to get anything Plex related to work again. I uninstalled the Plex server and reinstalled and it fixed the problem, but recently it came back. I uninstalled/reinstalled again but that didn’t help.
